NEW BODIES
E.J. Holyoake has a long and varied experience with building and customising commercial vehicles to suit the specific needs of the customer. We can convert refrigerated lorries to uninsulated ones, replace entire bodies either from a kit, or designed from scratch. Some examples of our work can be found below, but our expertise stretches to many other builds.
All of our builds are designed and built without cutting corners or using inferior materials meaning that they are rugged and long lasting. We use both primer and undercoat for all of our painting to ensure that even the finish lasts for as long as possible.
We are capable of building curtained bodies, as well as bodies using GRP, aluminium, steel and wood depending on the client's brief.
Our build capability stretches from initial body chassis construction to finishing and fitting fixtures, designing, manufacturing and installing storage units and fitting health and safety equipment.
MATERIALS
We can build bodies in a variety of materials. Box and Luton bodies are available in either GRP for a quick build, or Aluminium for a lighter build, allowing a larger payload and smaller fuel bills.
TAIL LIFTS
We offer a large variety of tail and accessibility lifts along with a repair, maintenance and testing service. Please see the tail lift page for more details.
FINISHING
We build, paint and signwrite vehicles all on site allowing for a quick turn around of vehicles. All of our vehicles are primed before painting allowing for a more durable finish and keeping your vehicle looking new for longer.

FITTINGS
AIR KITS AND MANUFACTURER PACKAGES
We can fit most after sales kits including air kits, body kits and side impact bar kits.
STORAGE
We have a strong tradition of modifying commercial vehicles to suit specific storage needs. We can design and install lockers either inside the body or accessible from the outside.
FLOORING
We can fit a large variety of flooring including coated plywood, treadplate, hexadeck and boarded floors depending on the client's requirements
CARGO SYSTEMS
We offer a number of secure cargo fastening solutions including load rails, load straps, load chains and rope hooks amongst others.
VENTILATION
Installation and maintenance of ventilation in passenger vehicles.
SAFETY
We also comply with safety regulations by fitting and modifying side guards and rear underrun guards and fitting reflectors, lights, sirens and horns to the appropriate standards. We also test tail lifts in compliance with insurance requirements.
MOBILE WORKSHOPS
Another speciality of ours is the construction of bespoke workshops - utilising the space in vans to increase the capability and efficiency of vehicle owners. We can also fit engine-generator systems that allow bench machines to be used in the field.
